Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your question? Call us and we’ll answer it straight away.

How is a project paid for?

For projects, you pay 50% on accepting the proposal and 50% on accepting the finished project (explained in “Delivery and acceptance”). We issue an invoice for each payment. If the total cannot be split into two equal parts, the first payment is rounded up to the nearest cent. Payment is by bank transfer.

What does “fixed price” mean?

Each project has its own written proposal. Your proposal shows each price excluding VAT and, next to it, the total including the VAT that applies to you. The proposal sets out the total price you pay, including taxes, for the scope it describes: no extra hours, surprises or charges that are not in writing. The price only changes if the scope changes: for example, an extra page, a new feature or an integration that was not planned. In that case, we send you the cost and the effect on the timeline, and we only go ahead if you accept it in writing.

When do the timelines start?

Timelines start once we’ve received the first payment and the materials we need. If you hire us as a private individual, timelines start when your 14-day withdrawal period ends, or earlier if you ask us in writing to start straight away.

What happens if the project is delayed?

The timeline is paused while we wait for something that depends on you: materials (texts, photos, logo, access details), answers or the approval of a deliverable. It resumes, with the same number of days remaining, once we receive it. If the delay is on our side, we will tell you as soon as we know and give you a new date. If, for reasons attributable to us, we miss the final date in the proposal by more than 30 days, you can cancel without paying for the work still outstanding.

How many changes are included?

Each project deliverable (for example, the design and the test version) includes two rounds of changes. Extra rounds, or anything that expands the scope (a new page or feature, redoing something already approved), are quoted separately, at a fixed price and only if you accept in writing.

Can I withdraw if I contract as a private individual?

If you are a consumer and contract at a distance (by email, phone or video call), you have 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw from it without giving any reason. We do not start work during those 14 days unless you expressly ask us to in writing. If you ask us to and then withdraw, you only pay the proportionate part of the service provided until you tell us. If you withdraw before we start, we refund everything you have paid.

What if I want to cancel the project?

You can cancel a project at any time by telling us in writing. In that case, you pay for the work done up to that day, calculated on the fixed price and the stages completed. The first payment is not automatically forfeited: if you have paid more than the work done, we refund the difference; if you have paid less, we invoice the rest, never more than the total price.

Is the source code mine?

Once the total is paid, the project and its source code are yours: we hand over the code with the project. This includes the design, the code, the content created for you and the data.
